Certifications
OrangeBio products are the result of more than 20 years of research and development and are backed by a wide range of patents and certifications. Our manufacturing plants operate on international QA/QC practices and are accredited to ISO 18606 standards. Our products meet SGS for FDA food contact and RoHs environment requirements. All products of the company are certified 100% fully compostable and biodegradable by the DIN CERTCO certification of EN13432 standard, BPI certification of ASTM D6400 standard, TUV Australia home composting and industrial composting, and other international authoritative biodegradation certification, and comply with Australian AS4736 and other international certification standards.
It is important to note that most so-called bioplastics in the marketplace without such certifications are not truly biodegradable. To regulate the market, the State of California enacted into law a requirement that products sold in California must meet the ASTM D6400 specification to claim any “biodegradable qualities.” In fact, the state now requires the word “compostable” to be used to define a product’s ability to decompose.

USA BPI Certificate – ASTM D6400 & ASTM D6868
OrangeBio products are BPI certified to meet the ASTM D6400 and ASTM D6868 specifications. The ASTM D6400 is the North American equivalent of the European EN 13432. Both certificates require that biodegradable/compostable products completely decompose in a composting setting in a specific time frame, leaving no harmful residues behind.
TÜV Austria OK Compost and Home Compost
OrangeBio products have been certified by TÜV Austria as 100% compostable in commercial composting facilities in compliance with the European standard.

DIN CERTCO certification of EN13432
The EN 13432 is the European equivalent of the North American ASTM D6400. Both specifications are currently the ultimate test for a biodegradable/compostable product’s ability to decompose in ideal composting conditions. It denotes European certification for use in commercial and municipal composting facilities.
